![]() Marvelously they can both be 4D!! Films change frequently and they're always interesting and educational. Especially film #2 when purchased together with film #1. The (at least 3D) films are worth the slight extra cost. The cozy IMax like film theater allows everyone a phenomenal seat. Be gentle and the stingrays will come back for more touches. We've been here many times and every time there is something new to explore, and older to re-explore The stingray touch and see tank is always a delight. It was well worth the price of entry (free).īuy tickets in advance and save a couple of dollars to use in their cafe. This is a must-see for Lincoln fans and historians. Because of the weather, we chose to defer this part until our next visit. These were the homes of Lincoln's friends and neighbors. This home is only a part of a restored neighborhood of homes. Much of my comments are represented in the photos. I already said I was impressed with the restoration and furnishings. The attached photos do the house justice, so I won't go into much more detail about what we saw. It was a rainy day, but we did not let them stop us. There is a brief presentation before you set out to see the house. You start in their welcome center/gift shop. They did a fantastic job of finding period-specific furniture and furnishings based on drawings and photos. ![]() The home still stands, although much of it was restored and repaired. While born in Kentucky, Abe Lincoln moved to Illinois while young with his family. The Lincoln Home National Historic Site was the first stop on our "Lincoln weekend" in Springfield.
